Chemotherapy
Kambo should under no circumstances be given to someone undergoing chemotherapy. The body is simply too weak to deal with the intensity of a Kambo treatment. Kambo before chemotherapy, on the contrary, can be very beneficial.
It will help to strengthen the immune system and to better deal with the chemotherapy treatment. Once chemotherapy is finished it would be wise to wait at least 4-6 weeks before attempting a Kambo session and then the
medicine should be used very gradually with low doses.
Antibiotics
While not a contraindication per se, if someone is on a course of 'antibiotics Kambo should be delayed until the course ends. Because of the way Kambo works it will nullify the effects of the antibiotic, rendering it useless. This can cause problems in that one can become resistant to subsequent courses of antibiotics.
Birth control pill
Due to the deep cleansing process, the effects of the birth control pill will not work. You will be unprotected from this point, needing to build it up again, for the period of time it takes at the beginning of your particular pill, to become effective again.
